Our Tax Dollars Are Still at Work in Gaza

While other stories have taken over our corporate newsfeeds, the U.S. sponsored slaughter and starvation of human beings in Gaza grinds on.

Since Trump took office, less than three months ago, some $12 billion worth of all-new weapons have been committed by the U.S. for the cause.  (Biden’s contribution to the genocide was around $26 billion.) Trump’s “aid” includes the infamous MOAB (Mother Of All Bombs), which weighs 11 tons. The destructiveness of this weapon is nearly as incomprehensible as its weight (the equivalent six Suburu Outbacks).

Speaking of numbers, here are a few that could really make you numb:

Gazans killed in yesterday’s bombing: 100+

Known Gazan deaths from Israeli assaults since Oct. 2023: 50,500

Estimated additional violent deaths using The Lancet model: 20,000

Gazans facing “Extreme Hunger,” per United Nations: 1.8 million

Percent of Gazans killed who are women or children: 70 %

Percent of needed food aid to Gaza that is blocked by Israel: 83%

End
